New Salary Limit for Blue Cards - May 2024 to April 2025

If you have read one of our articles about Czech Blue Card, you know that one of the main requirements for a Czech Blue Card is a salary above some minimum limit. The limit is generally 1,5 of Czech national average salary.

The average salary is given by an Announcement of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic which is usually valid from May 1 of the current year until April 30 of the next year.

The average salary in the Czech Republic according to the announcement state above for the period of May 2024 till April 2025 is 43 341 CZK a month or 520 092 CZK a year.

That means that the minimum required salary for a Blue Card is 1,5 that meaning at least 65 012 CZK a month or 780 138 CZK a year.

What this means in real life is that if you already have a Blue Card, your salary has to be increased above this minimum limits so you can keep (extend) the Blue Card.

If you are thinking of applying for a Blue Card, the above is the minimum salary that you have to be getting to be able to apply.

Move to Prague has been vital to making my move to this beautiful city of Prague smooth and stress free. They are always willing to answer questions no matter how silly they may be. They accompanied me to my government appointments which was crucial since I speak very little Czech. I tell everyone that asks what an amazing job they have done for me. Do not hesitate to contact them if you are planning to move to the Czech Republic.
